Lightly sand with 200 grit sandpaper to remove the shine. Wipe down with a damp cloth. Prime with Kilz primer. Then paint your color.

Rustolium has a great paint for Formica. Colors are limited but it's great. It goes on SO easy with a foam roller.

Just do not try a second coat for 48 hours! ( no need for second coats unless you mess up)

It also smells strong so do it on a day the windows can be open and a fan on.

  • Clean it well. Scuff up the surface with sandpaper. Use a good primer like Zinnser BIN to ensure your paint will stick. Then paint. For best results, wait 30 days before placing anything on the surface so that the paint can properly cure.
