Hi Marilyn, you can use goo gone to get them off without scratching or etching the clear plastic

Velvet Gloves can maybe help. Really, plastic never lasts. It gets scuffs, ph from hands will permanently mark it, even high ph or high temperature dishwater will melt it, and if you serve greasy foods, especially with soy sauce (because plastic comes from soybeans) these will permanently embed as new layers of plastic.

Mine do that if I wash in dishwasher and have greasy dishes inside. Seems to cling to them. Only my plastic not glass. Hand wash one or the other but I also use cheap straight vinegar as my rinse agent in my dishwasher. Plastic and glass both can get permanently etched in dishwasher.
