How do I make crown molding?

I need lots of trims, engraved type. These are quite expensive, so is there any way I can make them myself at home ? Thanks.

Engraved trim? I'm not sure what you mean. If you're talking about trim for around doors and windows and trim for floors, then it would be cheaper to get plain trim and replace as you can with the expensive stuff.
What type of Trim?
Do you mean trim as in the border around a mirror? Make trim for what?

I have made and make a lot of custom molding. I have the knowledge, experience and several thousand dollars of tools. I have even duplicated vintage moldings that cannot be purchased. There is a learning curve and skill involved. Easiest solution for the DIY is to purchase different types of molding and layer them to get the look you want.
Vintage times molding was planed out of raw wood using molding planes, hand carving, and plaster molds with horse hair for strength. This was a specialty job only a few woodsmiths knew how to do. They had planes with different profiles to cut the patterns. Sometimes it took up to ten planes to create a molding. Decorative molding was planed and hand carved. Basically only the rich could afford them. Large molding wasn't easy to plane so they would make wood forms with the profiles and make the molding out of plaster mixed with horse hair for strength and support.
