How to install peel and stick tile?

    Here is my 2 cents on the subject.

    Purchase additional adhesive. I have been burned EVERY time I haven't. I think it's because over time the stuff on the tile dries out too much. I have had great success with the type you put down and wait until it is tacky to lay the tile. Use a notched trowel, the container will have a size recommendation.

    If you are laying over another type of floor, consider putting down luan plywood first.

    Directions will say to measure to the center of the room and run 2 lines that intersect. Start there and work your way out. I have never done that with any type of tile (peel & stick, stone, or ceramic). I start at the wall in one corner and work to the end, then the next row. The only time this would be a problem is if your room is very out of square. In that case, you would want to start in the middle. You should lay them down with the backing still on to see approximately how they will look upon completion.
