How do I choose paint for my kitchen cabinets?
Can anyone reccomend a paint to use on kitchen cabinets. I've researched Rustoleum Cabinet paint, not interested in that so far its between Nuvo, Valspar or Beyond Paint, my top choices

I would choose the Valspar cabinet enamel paint. It's made for cabinets and trim. Easily washed. Wears well.
I painted my old outdated white laminate cabinets w/ oak trim last year using Valspar. HOWEVER - I first cleaned them with a degreaser and rinsed them 2 x's with plain water and dry overnight. Then lightly sanded them, applied 2 coats of Valspar Satin Finish let dry significantly, then applied 2 coats of satin polyurethane letting dry in between coats. I LOVE the results and almost a year later looking GREAT! and holding up extremely well.... and that's with 5 adults using the kitchen everyday!! Good luck - I wish I had a picture to include.
All cabinet paint is about the same. But they all react differently to the surface of the cabinet. You should remember that the preparation takes longer than the painting. If it didnt - your in trouble lol I like valspar the paint seems to take a beating, and in my house it has to. Talk to the paint person they might recommend you buy a special cleaner before you paint. The problem with cabinets is the family opening the cabinets right before you paint. Remenber to do that one last wipe down where their fingers might of touched, and dont be afraid to over protect the counters, etc. That paint is hard to get off of the counter top. So always have a rag ready with a sink full of water to wipe off any mishaps.
I have had good results with the Valspar products.
Ok thanks sounds like valspar stand behind their product
Have you looked into Benjamin Moore Advance or Sherwin Williams Emerald Urethane for Trim and Doors?
Cabinet Rescue can be used for laminate cabinets. You can get it at Home Depot.
