End Grain Cobble Block Wood Tile Flooring
Just wondering what people thought about our end grain wood tile flooring idea. So many different ways to lay out. What's your favorite?
You probably could but it would never wear as well as a faux brick laminate. You would have to seal it with a poly to protect it from moisture. It would scratch much easier than a laminate. It's not made for flooring so it doesn't have the same hardness qualities as a laminate would. You might want to consider laminate flooring instead. The money that you might have to spend on faux brick paneling might be a very comparable amount to a laminate flooring that would wear better and last longer.
Hi Brenda,
I agree with GK. My first thought was that faux wall brick will not hold up to the wear & tear that a floor receives. You'd be better off to find a laminate that is made for floors. I hope that helps. Wishing you the best.
It will probably not stand up to the wear and tear of continuous foot traffic, cleaning and washing. Look for something more sturdy.
I wouldn't recommend it. I have used them on walls and they have been fine but I think if you try it on a floor, especially in a high traffic area, it will be torn to bits. There is a new product on the market that I have been wanting to try. Stainmaster Luxury Vinyl. 9"x9" tiles. I've seen it Lowes and they have a few different designs but the product seems to replicate that Florence mosaic design that is usually found printed on antique clay tiles. It's a cheaper option that is more on trend for vinyl flooring.

It might not be your style but hopefully it helps.
