As long as it is the same size you should not have any trouble. If you do not know anything about wiring then have some knowledgeable to do it. Be sure to turn off the power before you tinker with it.
Yes, it is easy to change them. Please have an extra pair of hands as the mechanism with the motor can be heavy.
It's always helpful to have a second set of hands there but I found this Youtube video that might help you out. Just make sure that the power source for the fan is turned off and you should be fine.

Also check to be sure the old one was properly installed on a beam or bracing.
