Real wood, laminate?? Water damage. Need to get dry first. Takes much longer than you think since the subfloor,underneath probably hot wet too. Can take up to a month to dry eith a fan on it. Once dry if hard wood will need to sand and refinish. If laminate, will have to replace that area.
Depending on how much it has cupped, it may need to be replaced. If it isn.t to bad then sanding it will be your best option. It couldn't hurt to get a flooring guy in and see what he says.
