How to remove dirt grim from dining chairs?

For some reason there's grime on our dining room chairs. Any idea how to remove grim?

Hi Joa. I'm Cindy. Make a bucket of warm water and add a quarter-cup of white vinegar and a couple good squirts of Dawn Dish Soap. (Has to be Dawn) Scrub your chairs with this solution. Wait until they are completely dry. Repeat if necessary.
I also use Dawn and vinegar or just Dawn.
The grime on my chairs is definitely kid related ;)
