How do I paint my kitchen cabinets?
My kitchen cabinets are a light yellow and cream color. The colors blend well, but it’s time for a change. Should I paint over them or strip them? I’m looking at another cream peach and darker peach as the new colors. Thanks, Becky R.

Just go over them. Remove all hardware, doors and drawers. Mark on back where they go. Wash down with TSP and then sand the sheen off. Prime with oil based primer and 2 coats of oil based paint
If am going to repaint my cabinets this summer. I am going to Lowes and cruise their paint section. Will pick up MANY paint chips to see what color works best with the curtains and countertop colors. You should try that also. See what works best in your home with your stuff.
We just did a cabinet using Fusion's mineral paint and it seems pretty bullet proof. Wishing we used it in our kitchen when we painted the cabinets there as you need a high traffic paint.
If the finish on the cabinets is in decent condition, I would just paint over them instead of stripping them down.
Prep is key! Make sure you scrub everything down really well, take off the doors, scuff sand with 220 grit sandpaper and wipe off all the dust.
I would use BIN Shellac based primer as is will block any bleed through, and it will help your paint stick really well.
Sherwin Williams Emerald Urethane Trim and Door Enamel paint is used by alot of cabinet refinishers. It's durable and easy to use. Or benjamin moore Advance is a great paint too!
Goodluck!!
You should be able to just scuff sand them if they are in good condition (no chipping or peeling). I painted and sprayed my cabinets using this method: https://rootsandwingsfurniture.com/blog/kitchencabinetmakeover/
