How do I paint the indoor stairs of my raised bungalow?

The 5 stairs are currently carpet and we would like to paint them...What materials can we use??? Thanking you in advance for your advise.

You will need to remove the carpet, fill any holes and sand them. Select a paint that is for floors so it will be more durable.
