Retro to Modern Nightstand Makeover!

Jaclyn Ann
by Jaclyn Ann
My parents are moving, and as a result I am ending up with a lot of their old furniture. This nightstand is from the 1970's, and definitely needs a little updating! I loved the style but not so much the color.
So I refinished the surface and repainted a nice, neutral modern gray! I also changed the drawer pulls to something more updated.
And added a little extra flair and durability to the inside of the drawers.
and also the sides for an added pop!
I covered the entire nightstand with 3 coats of polycrylic to ensure this piece will last without chipping. The finished product is decorative and adds a little something extra to our bedroom!

Sure! The paint I used was from Lowe's, and actually was just a sample. The color was "Dover Gray" but unfortunately I don't recall the brand! I primed the piece first then added 2 coats of gray. Hope this helps! :)

I love the color. I would like to see what it looks like on a bedroom, living and bathroom wall.
