It amazes me what you can make with some wood shims and a mirror. Let me show you how I made my DIY Sunburst Mirror!

First I made individual sections of shims by staggering and gorilla gluing them together in multiples of seven and nine.

Then I glued them to a piece of scrap plywood. I alternated their positions, placing a section of 7 next to a section of 9 and so on. until I had formed a complete circle.

I stained the shims with my favorite stain of choice, Minwax Dark Walnut.

And last, I attached some mounting hardware and had my husband hang it!
