Yes a wine rack is the best first choice and can be found to accomodate a few bottles or many. But be careful, aware of where you place it. Wine is light and temperature sensitive. Don't place your wine rack near a heat source, vent, etc. Also do not place the rack where direct sun light will fall on it. I learned this the hard way after losing 36 bottles of wine. Thanks to a west facing window and the seasonal shift in the angle of the sun my tall (found at Cost Plus) wine rack was in direct sun for several hours a day in late spring.
One of my favorite and often repeated projects. After enjoying the wine, I have a tendency to save wine bottles with unique or especially pretty labels. But what to do with them? The bottle/lamp conversion kits can be found at most home improvement/hardware stores. Finding appropriately scaled shades may require some effort. I treat the outside of the bottle with a clear, gloss sealer to protect the label from wear.
