I never have been able to. The only thing I know will work is a spray of bleach, but not sure what that will do to the boots, and your feet. Definitely try foot powder with fungicide to protect you from athlete's foot fungus.

Hi. One of the best ways to remove the smell is to dump 1/2 cup of baking soda into each boot and turn the boot around to coat the inside. Then stuff with newspaper/brown paper/typing paper (tissue paper is too thin). Allow to stay for at least 48 hours. Then spray with a room stray and stuff again with paper. Process may need to be repeated if the smell is still present. Additionally, putting them in the sun helps warm the soda and paper to absorb. Good luck!

This helps a lot with my tennis shoes and other shoes I put bounce dryer sheets in them and they do work and smell better the next day. Just something to try when I am done wearing them for the day or whenever you decide to use them.
