How can I clean painted closet doors?

I live in an appartment.
The closest doors and wood frame are painted cream. I have tried but cannot wipe them clean. They are filthy and the wood frames are too. I can't paint them. Help!

use shelf paper, or wall paper they will look cool.
What are you washing them with? Dawn dish soap works wonders.
