Ammonia!! Lots of it poured in its hole and path. Soak rags in ammonia and place everywhere the skunk has been. We tried EVERYTHING! This is the only thing that worked. Refresh it daily with more ammonia until the skunk leaves.

City Animal Control or County Extension might have some help for you. Ask them to loan you a trap and if they’ll exterminate it for you.

If it’s under your porch, I would not poison it there, or it may die under there. But if you can’t get free help, I would find out what they eat and stop their food sources and seal up their den access.

Skunks are attracted to lawn grubs. Early this spring, treat your entire lawn area with Grub X, using a drop spreader, and following label directions.

Although Milky Spore is also efective, it will take 3 yearly applications to attain maximum effectiveness. It is also much more expensive than Grub X, but once established, will last about 10 years.
