Have you tried a Magic Eraser sponge? They're kind of miraculous!
If it’s fiberglass, try a calcium Lyme rust product, first. It will be extremely stinky and you’ll want more than the bathroom exhaust fan running and long rubber gloves. Lots of rinsing and hand drying in a circular motion.
If that’s still not shiny enough, I’d buy a fiberglass polish made for boats. It will be a bit like polishing the car, lots of circular motions.
I used easy off oven cleaner. Leave on 1 to 2 hrs. Rinse. Cleans off years of soap scum, oil etc from rental units. You may not need paint then if u do it be clean to do it
