A Small Bathroom Gets a BIG Floor to Ceiling Towel Wall

Our master bathroom was pretty small. And being that my son LOVES to use every towel in storage at the same time, (I kid but only a little...) we needed to up the ante for towel hanging.
The answer was easy. A board and batten wall treatment was applied to the wall, with a twist. A couple of cross boards, with added hooks created a full floor to ceiling towel wall.
And yes, he's filled it up with towels. But it sure beats the floor any day! :)
This is an easy build you can do in an afternoon. Cheap too!
What about you? Do you prefer towel bars or hooks?
This floor to ceiling towel wall really upped the ante in character and production for our small bathroom! Isn't it pretty? Here's how I did it...
The walls in the bathroom were first primed. Hard to believe this room could be cozy at this point, isn't it?
A finishing coat of paint was applied in white, then boards were air nailed into place. Tip: Random board sizes with random spacing made the wall a little less predictable.
To create the 'attic' treatment, cross beams were nailed into place. A totally different look that was so easy to do!
Add hooks and BOOM! We have a ton of towel storage now! Visit more tips and the full bathroom reveal at the blog link below.

This is adorable. But what is your son doing in your master bath? lol!

    • Maybe I'm calling the room the wrong thing... it's the main bathroom. He's allowed in any bathroom we have regardless. :)

Donna, AWESOME. SO warm and love the checkerboards behind the towel rack. Ppl always throwing out old cutting boards...now I know what to do with them. The wood adds such warmth. You added so much with the window trim and wooden sides. I just love it. Such an inspiration!!! TY for sharing!
