How do I get rid of a rotten egg smell in duct work?

Bought an older block home and it does have a wet basement. It has 2 sump pits that are functioning but at some point they didnt while the house was sitti ng empty for over a year because the waterline on the wall is obvious. Some visible mold on wet wood. Should i have ducts cleaned professionally or just replace ducts. 1000 sq ft house. Hvac in basement with dirt crawlspace. Help.

Take care of all the water damage first. Personally, I don't believe the hype about duct cleaning. Once all the moisture and water damage is gone, the smell source should be also. You can try spraying vinegar into the air intake with the system on, which will help with some disinfection (not a lot) but will definitely help the odor abate. Then see where things stand...
Do you have all electric or gas utilities? Rotten egg smell is Sulphur or Gas; need to find where it is coming from instead of masking it. Are you sure it's not a natural gas leak? what about sewer gases? I think you should start by calling utility company and have them check gas lines, then sewer lines & sewer vent pipe. if they will only do gas lines need plumber to check the others. I wouldn't waste money on duct cleaning instead you need to pay someone to treat mold and water coming in basement or you will forever have issues and they will continue to get worse
Does it smell like rotten egg it’s gas if it smells like fish but u never cooked fish or an open can of fish..... it’s electrical wires melting check it out..( been there) . Check electrical box if any wires hot.. to touch
