IN a 32 oz spray bottle put in 8 oz blue dawn dish soap and fill the rest with white vinegar, mix a bit, spray on and wipe it off for a great clean.
I use the same in my shower enclosure too. That is a miracle solution for cleaning.
Hello Gil. In our last house, we had such hard water. A water softner would have helped, but it was a rental. Our shower doors seemed cloudy all the time. The only cleaner that actually worked was a product called CLR. You spray it on and walk away. Come back in about 20 mins and wipe doors with a clean damp cloth. Worked well for me. Very happy with results. Made my shower doors crystal clear.
Watch using this CLR it WILL ETCH CHROME AND GOLD FIXTURES AND ALUMINUM TOO, BE VERY CAREFUL USING THIS STUFF
Once you get it clean (we once had to use a razor bladed paint scraper on doors in an old house we bought -- soap scum was so thick and old!) Most important thing to remember is: Use a squeegee to sheet water off walls and doors -- then dry off with towel when you are finished drying yourself -- pay special attention to drying the grout and caulk -I have lived in my home for 22 yrs. -- never any mold or buildup of scum. Before you step out of the shower, spray with a good daily Shower Cleaner and just leave it on. I get mine at the Dollar Store.
