How to paint flower pots for a glazed look?

    Hi Linda, if you mix polycrylic with you paint it will give a glazed look. If you want it to look like a tint add less paint to the poly and if you want it to more opaque add less. Just make sure to use water base with water base and oil with oil.

    paint with what ever color you want and what ever paint you want. Then seal with numerous coats of polyurethane in a brush on or spray.

    if you are painting terracotta / clay pots they must be bone dry and free of any soil/dirt. And once painted they will not 'breath', so you may be limited as to the types of plants you use.

      Thanks, will be working mostly with plastic or foam type pots. I know with the foam paint can sort of dissolve it so will use what's compatible. Thanks for your help
