How do I repair ceiling damage?
Our home was struck by lightning, all our fried electronics was our immediate indicator....rain slowly finding the path of least resistance came later during the night, leaking into our bedroom stretching the latex paint from the ceiling creating funnels and peels. I want an interesting application to hide the damage and other cracks and bumps from whatever has happened since 1988. But not a drop ceiling.

Hi there,
Call on your Insurance Policy and put in a claim.!
Hi Sherri, They make some decorative styrofoam ceiling tile that is easy to install with glue and can be painted. Here is a link to check it out although you can get it in a lot of places.

call your insurance company pronto! take photos of all damaged areas. then get as much up and out of the water as you can. if your insurance covers the damage, they will give you "cost replacement" for your items, not the new price, but one based on the condition of your belongings. most insurance companies have lists of certified contractors in good standing with the better business burou. those include painters, drywallers etc.
