How do I make my muddy sloped back yard dog and kid friendly?

I'm going to make back yard kid friendly and I have 2 large male ladradoodles I need to make a potty area for, what's best?

    Probably the short mondo grass. It stays green, holds soil, looks uniform, and you can't kill it. On the minus side...you can't kill it. So you will want to be sure it can't jump or seed itself past where you want it.

    Cut into it and add wooden steps to help with erosion.use 4x4 as long as you like. Add gravel on each Step level.

  • Have you looked into the pet turf? It's supposed to have really good drainage without the mess of traditional grass.

    muddy/sloped already sounds kid & dog friendly ---just kidding potty area use fake astro turf it can be cleaned/disinfected easily rubber recycled tire mulch is good no mud safe to play on easy on all their feet/paws rock gravel not good it cuts dogs feet they won't want to walk,run,poop,pee on it and kids won't ever be able not to wear shoes maybe need trench along bottom of slope to direct water coming off of it another direction instead of into rest of yard
