How do I level the seams between two types of floors?
We have a wood laminate and a ceramic tile floor. The seam between them is a plastic (looks like wood ) molding which has a 90 degree corner. This corner always seems to catch on something like socks , and lifts up. Would like to use something that will be flush with both sides.

Sounds like the wrong transition strip was installed. You need one that overlaps both flooring.

Yep. Look into installing a T shaped transition strip.
If the two sides are not level with each other you may have some difficulty finding just the right transition strip. There are several specific to tile and laminate transitions but they need a gap between the two surfaces. Ours abutted each other and the only transition piece we could find was wooden that we could shave down on one side. That was the only way we could make it level.
