  • All depends on where the weeds are. Lawn? Flower bed? In garden path? I have a lot of pets and will not use chemicals. I use boiling water (2 kettles every day year round), Epsom salt followed by boiling water, or vinegar. Then dig out.

SYSTEMIC NATURAL WEED KILLER: One gallon white vinegar. One cup of salt. One teaspoon of Dawn. Heat vinegar up to boiling point and take off stove. Add salt and stir till dissolved. Let cool completely. Then add Dawn. Pour in sprayer. BE PATIENT. Again, this is a systemic weed killer and it takes awhile to reach the bottom of roots. Wait about two weeks and spray again if needed and/or the weeds you missed the first time. Kills everything, even poison ivy. Use a piece of cardboard if spraying around flowers, shrubs, etc. NOTE: Sometimes I cut the ingredients in half depending on what I have to spray.

thank you both, I’ve domecthe vinegar/salt/dawn/cloveoil mix with temporary results. It seems that boiling liquid is helpful - I’ll try!

  • This is the most effective all-natural weed killer DIY that we use. It's even been featured on Hometalk! Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly
