How do I make a simple corner fence?

Three posts on each corner of my property are needed. I'm thinking of just screwing in 2 1x6" slats about 6' long between 3 wooden posts. Then paint after building. Hope my drill can get through wood okay. Don't know if nailing would be better. Tried vinyl lattice fencing and it faded, warped and finally wind kept blowing it loose and it broke. So, wanting to try something sturdier. Need something to define border. Any tips, ideas, appreciated.Barb

I would check out Lowes and Home Depot. They have tons of ideas and the staff in both stores can be very helpful
I got the lattice from Home Depot but will go back again & see. Not much help last time.
Use screws if at all possible. Nails pull out too easily, esp. as wood ages. I cut two sets of l x 2's into graduated length pickets, then attached each set vertically to a pair of lengthwise rails. I made their center post taller than the two end posts, for extra stabilty, And to keep the fencing from blowing down, I pounded a piece of rebar into the ground a few inches, next to each of the three posts and wired them to the posts. The rebar should stick out of the ground at least a foot. It's not a heavy piece of fencing but I use it to hold up a thorny rose bush and it's worked for me. Have fun.
You have the right idea. I have seen some and they look great. Especially painted white. Use screws no nails. And use pressure treated wood. Will practically last forever.
