Dip a clean, soft rag in the soapy water and squeeze off the excess water. Never allow the water to be dripping off the rag in order to avoid over-saturating the fake leather with water. Gently wipe the stains clean with the damp rag until the stain is removed. Wipe off the area with a clean, dry, soft rag afterward. The trick is to dampen the leather with only enough moisture to allow efficient cleaning so it can dry quickly to minimize the risk of damage.

Apply a small amount of rubbing alcohol to the water stains, and gently buff them out with a soft cloth. Try applying the rubbing alcohol with a spray bottle and brushing down on the stains with the cloth. The idea is to lightly feather out the stains until they disappear completely.

Here are a couple recipes to try. Do not saturate the area. Only apply as little as needed to remove the stain. " Blow dry " ( use the cool setting on your blow dryer ) the area afterwards to dry it completely.

    • 2 tbls. warm water mixed w/ 1 tbls. distilled vinegar ( double or triple the recipe as needed ).
    • 4-6 cups warm water to one drop Dawn dish detergent. Mix til sudsy.
