I love gardening and pretty planters for my garden.

If you have priced planters then you know how expensive they can be.

I was searching for a planter for some flowers that I had picked up and I just happened to come

across some galvanized ice buckets and trays etc.

I thought the ice bucket would be perfect. (Plus it was inexpensive)

So it came home with me!

I knew it was going to need a drain hole, so I got my cordless drill and bit and turned the bucket over.

And proceeded to drill a hole into the bottom of the container.

Drain hole complete.

The next thing I did was add my potting soil to the 'planter'

Then I placed my plants inside to get a visual idea of where I wanted to put them,

and I love how it turned out.

I placed the planter on my deck and it is just perfect.

I am always on the look out for inexpensive (and pretty) options to use for planters.

Check out my blog post HERE to see how well these plants grew in the planter.. they did amazing!
