How do you repair water damage on a dresser?

Had an aquarium leak onto a wooden dresser top. How can I repair the top?

If it isn't buckled or warped, you can sand and refinish.
Combine equal parts vinegar and olive oil in a shallow bowl, stirring with a spoon. Dip a soft cloth into the mixture and apply it to the damaged area, following the direction of the wood grain. Rub the oily solution in with a dry, soft cloth, generally rubbing with the grain, to buff and shine the wood.
