How can I repair my boots?
Is there ANYTHING I can do here??I was going to use a furniture marker which would work, but what about the peeling?* Any creative ideas? *((My bunnies got ahold of my boots and decided to nibble on them. Yes I know, keep your shoes away from rabbits reach... :)

My tall rubber boots don't fit my large calves. I am unable to get them up all the way.
Get yourself some nice belts and glue the around the boots or glue some vintage doilies on them with the belts. Or you can get some black or silver jewelry and glue them to the boots or get some nice material trim and glue that around boots or in the front.
Look at these boots, maybe you can get inspired by these boots>

I think a belt and or buckle would hide the damage and look great.
Ever see spats? In complementary or contrasting leather, or fabric. Glue them on, and start a 100+ year old fashion!
I would try the thrift store for another if you cannot afford to purchase a new pair. They really have more damage with the hole than worth fixing. Leather can be smoothed back down, re-glued and polished but these are not leather. Not much will stay on them even if you glue something on top with the bending of walking and stretching.
The way the spots are peeling shows that these boots are made from bonded leather and not genuine leather. Unfortunately, it can not be repaired or manipulated the same way as genuine leather.
Thrift stores can be a source of inexpensive embellishments that can be added to the boots in attempt to disguise the damage. Anchor by sewing or with rivets.
