  • Basil definitely likes warm temperatures and lots of sun. For indoor growing, you'd wan to use a south facing window, and be sure there's not a cool draft coming through. Hope this helps!

Adele: I've found that oregano works best by merely buying small plants. Basil -- I always grow from seed. They do NOT like cold weather. Keep in southern facing window till the weather warms up.

FYI Plants need Minerals. Do not restrict herbs or anything to a Water Diet. Instead give them a Diarrhea Daiquiri. You do this because Plants eat what we don't. The recipe is quite easy for a Diarrhea Daiquiri really. Orange Slice and a Bamboo Umbrella are Optional.

    Diarrhea Daiquiri

32 ounces Hot Water or less

    8 ounces manure or more

    1 orange Slice

    1 Bamboo Umbrella

Keep also in mind that Hot Plants Grow to relieve themself of heat by Stretching out. You do not give a Hot Plant Cold Water and Ice. Give them Hot Water.
