How do I get rid of water in fridge?

I keep getting water buildup on the top shelf of my refrigerator. It seems to be coming from the back middle vents. I am also getting ice buildup on the bottom of the "defrost free" freezer. What could be the possible reasons?

    Probably you have the cooling dial set too low , try turning it one of two settings warmer. Good luck !

    Some refridgerators put out more water than it can drain.

    Personally I struggled with the lower freezer ice build up and finally after 2 years I called in repair. They took everything out of the lower freezer after shutting down and removed anything that was screwed in. Once that's out of the way U will then see a area covered template with more screws. Take the screws out and make sure your rails are off also.

    It's easy to see and get after the water build up. Yes mine is frost free too. Design issues happen. Grab your power tools and a big towel to sop up the drainage. Clean with bleach water all areas and get rid of any mildew or mold. After the area is dry put everything back together. It's at least 1-3 hours work versus a repair person for $120 or so.

    Tough work yet U will not need to redo for at least a couple years or so. Mine is still free of build up after 2 years. So glad I got this done and remembered what to do next time. Give it a try it's not that difficult just tedious. I am 65 and weigh 110 lbs. with serious back issues. So glad I won't need to move the fridge away from the wall in the future.

    the door seal may be bad -- be sure it's clean and well attached; check with the manufacturer on-line -- need make/model number if you have it -- or certainly your owners manual if you still have that. Replacing a door seal isn't a big deal ... but it also be that the unit isn't level;

    be sure to clean the back and underneath to remove dust bunnies off the coils or the VENTS to those coils. You should move it out at least once a year to blow/vacuum out the coils and underneath so that it can 'breath'

    Humidity in the Kitchen. Get yourself dehumidific powder of even a container of baby powder. Also some Arm & Hammer in the Fridge will not hurt.
