How do I raise green beans in an old raised floral bed?

    if they are bush beans, the same as you would in a regular ground garden, just make sure you have enough plants to be able to get enough to feed the number of people you feed with out having to wait days to get enough. I had two eight foot rows of green beans and two eight foot rows of yellow beans (all planted about four inches apart) and had plenty for three plus people when they were fruiting (mom and brother and two neighbors got some, too). Pole beans you will need a tall trellis for them to climb. Pole beans start fruiting later than bush beans and mine fruit until frost kills the plants.
