I planted a weeping bottlebrush tree 2 years ago but it hasn’t grown at all! It has blooms periodically but doesn’t grow in height or add branch, just looks spindly and sad like it’s barely hanging on. What can I do to speed it along making it healthy?

  • Try contacting your local cooperative extension office and see if they will come out or give you some advice. They can also do soil testing to see if it's something lacking in your soil. Good luck!

They only get 15ft tall actually more of really lrg shrub. shaped into trees. They need lots of water and fertilizing regularly first 2-3 yrs. Use good organic compost(best) or chemical fertilizers. Don't prune it will ruin ends that produce "bottle brush" blooms only remove dead limbs and suckers on trunk to keep tree shape.when mature they tolerate drought and poor soil.
