Do azaleas need sun to bloom?

You you will probably still have some limited blooming but they won't do as much or come as early as if they had more sun.

yes they need sun & NO.....Plant them in dense shade, and they won't bloom. A good location is where they receive either dappled sun all day or sun in the morning and light shade in the afternoon. Almost all plants need 4-6hrs of sun to bloom. Hostas require no sun they do get flowers, come in many colors,and sizes.
