How early may I plant a butterfly garden in sunny location?

In the sunny flower bed in 8a from spring to fall what to plant. I am thinking about a butterfly garden in a sunny location. how early may I plant it? Amy combination is fine.

Hi Neta, Spring is a great time to plant perennials and annuals. Are you going to include a Buddleia? Not sure if I spelled it right but it is also called a Butterfly Bush. And they really attract the butterflies. They look pretty too!
