Don't know about the plant, but your baby is beautiful.
Thinking a bromeliad of some sort or there's a pinecone ginger. The top on yours, though, does not look like the tops of pinecone ginger. Do you have a pic of the mother plant?

Will it grow 18” per segment? If it is a pinecone cactus,it will.
