I need help identifying this creature vine. It looks like a watermelon/cantaloupe vine with spikes on the vine and on the fruit. I need to know if it is harmful for my dog. I'm very curious and so are the neighbors.
Thorny cantaloupe/watermelon? What kind of vegetable or fruit is this?

If they are where you can spray with glyphosate, Melisa, do so. If not, get a foam brush, dip it in the full-strength herbicide, and paint it on the invaders.

  • I have one of those, too. Thought it was a volunteer watermelon plant until it developed some NASTY spiked. It's going to be outta there after reading these comments.
