Bleach, unless it's wool or silk.
Soak in Oxy Clean
What is the fabric content? Bleach can yellow or gray fabric over time, plus it weakens the fabric fibers. Many like hydrogen peroxide. I use baking soda - a good soak overnight might work. Do not dry until stain is completely gone. Heat will set the stain.

Oxiclean works well. Use very hot water. Sometimes, I even boil the water first.
