You will be using a lot more electricity.
Shouldn't because heater only starts up with the demand for hot water. Tank water heater has to keep the water hot at all times. If the tankless ones were less money that is what I would have. Did have one in a rental house and loved it. Hot water at all times.

We have had two different brands. We had a Rinnai in our one house. It was a big one. It took care of 4 full bathrooms, outdoor shower, a kitchen and laundry room. And it worked great. The one we have now is a Bosch. It is not only a tankless hot water heater, but a boiler for hot water baseboard heat. And the boiler part has 2 zones. The hot water part isn't quite as big, it takes care of 2 full bathrooms, outdoor shower, kitchen and laundry room. It also works great, with no issues. Both have saved us a ton of money, just make sure that you get the proper size for what you have (bathrooms, kitchen with dishwasher and laundry washer.
