You need not have the same colors throughout the condo, but having colors in the same color family makes for better "flow" as one moves from room to room.

Shots of vivid colors work better as pillows, art, etc. rather than as large expanses of wall color.

However, if you're the more adventurous type who enjoys large splashes of colors, go for it. At the most, you'll be told to prime and paint, to bring things back to neutral colors should you have to sell.

Remember to consider how natural daylight and room lighting will impact on color choices. Note also that paint colors almost always appear darker in your home than in the store.

Consider your room furnishings' colors and woodwork colors when making paint choices. They can appear lovely on their own, but not no pleasing with your furniture, and flooring, etc., due to undertones.
