Can you tile over faux marble?
I have a huge shower in our current home and it is done in faux marble. I want to change it up and was wondering if it could be tiled over?

You can tile over existing tile if the original tile is secure to the wall. You will need edge trim to cover the gap made by placing new tile over old.
as long as the original faux marble is in good condition and not cracked or crumbling you can go right over it.
You will need to ascuff up the surface with 220 grit sandpaper. Wipe down well. Use tile mastic to adhere the tile. Thinset will not grab.
