Wood Bunny

I got a new band saw and wanted to try a simple project. Being that Easter is on it's way, I decided to give a little bunny a try. This is also a great idea for old/used books. It's a simple project, but looks real cute! Hope you like it.

This is the shape I used!

I cut the wood bunny out of a 2" wood plank, and then I chalk painted it white.

Once the chalk paint dried, I sanded the edges to distress it just a bit.

Next step, I used a book I finished reading and didn't want anymore.

Then I traced the bunny on a page of the book and cut it out.

Then I painted a layer of Mod Podge over the bunny

And then I laid my book page over the wood and smoothed it out.

I added a cotton ball as a tail.

And then I tied twine around the neck. You can add some ribbon if you'd like as well, up to you!

That's it, and look how cute it is! Perfect addition to your Easter decor. Give it a try yourself. icon
