This piece has me going crazy!!! ANYONE....PLEASE!!! It stands approx. 42.5”H. and 29.5” wide or long. It opens to three positions, 41”, 31”, and 18”. When closed it’s about 4”. From one side, the bottom feet are approx. 29.5” the other side is approx. 26”. I got it at an auction, but no one knows what it is for??? Any ideas?? Maybe somewhere I can send a picture?? Someone to call??? PLEASE HELP!!! Thank you so much!!!

Looks like a magazine rack to me. Could be used as a log holder tho.

I have no clue either, but it looks like it's incomplete. The dowels on the inside look like they should be holding something. Also, the inside bottom where the dowels are looks like it's not finished like the rest of it. When you find out what it is, let us know.
I remember you posted this a while ago/few months back you never figured it out?? I contacted several antique places even on East coast with pictures never heard back from any one. I say quilters rack or embroidery rack
Could it be a storage piece for firewood?
Maybe send it to Kovels.com. They have a What’s It Wednesday where people send in things like that. I look forward to hearing what it is.

I went to seminary when I was young. It looks just like the stands we used to hold large bibles and doctrines when researching information.
I have seen them used to hold matted maps, prints , poster, ect.
