Beth, these will put out small white flowers on thin stalks. They spread by offshoot. Not invasively tho. They will live a long life. Mine are over 30 years old, living in a shallow turkey roasting pan!! They don't need a lot of fuss or watering. Mine have survived with no fertilizer and sporadic watering ( mostly rain ).

Snake Plant: Said only give it to a person you dislike for it is said to bring bad luck. But then again this is an old wives tale (I think).

Not bad luck. The aroma from it's flower is Heavenly.

Mother in laws tongue. easy to take care of. All the hardware stores carry these in the spring and fairly expensive.

Snake plant! Really easy to care for. Like sunlight but not too much water.
