What a great size pantry! I’m jealous! :) It doesn’t look too bad. Maybe you could cover the shelves with a new contact paper? Or add some decorative bins to group like things and hide some? I like to pour my baking supplies into clear jars with lids - I think that looks pretty. :)

It's better than mine and you have sooo much storage. You could paint the shelves and walls and it looks like you need a door. https://www.pinterest.com/search/pins/?rs=ac&len=2&q=pantry%20doors&eq=pantry%20doors&etslf=8485&term_meta[]=pantry%7Cautocomplete%7C0&term_meta[]=doors%7Cautocomplete%7C0

Paint the walls a color that makes you happy. Give the shelves a fresh coat of white paint. If you want to cover the shelves, use a coordinating vintage style print of oilcloth wrapped under & stapled or tacked. If you don't have a door & you want to close it in, use a tension rod with a linen-look curtain or one that picks up the colors inside & out. You will find more variety if you make it. Easy to make - you only need one panel hung on rings, so it will open & close easily. If you don't sew there are iron-on products and glues for hemming.

I see a lot of empty wall space that shelves could be put up to unclutter what you have. Utalize that space to organize better

I would get a ton of plastic bins of all sizes from the dollar store. Fill the bins with like items. You can have a baking bin, cereal bin, flower/sugar bin etc. Get the bins in bright colors. This is a great pantry!

It appears that the steps coming up to this area (last photo) means everyone views the shelves straight ahead which is never going to look very good (raised 4 kids), #1 IDEA: Could you remove the section facing the steps as you come up and stack it up over the other shelf unit to make 1 tall unit with tidy labeled baskets as it is a very tight space. This might free up the area where you turn to go into what appears to be the kitchen. If the bins / baskets are tall to hide whats inside or kept tidy all is well. CONTAINERS: If you have the budget for basket containers it would look much nicer than plastic but they are pricey. Or if you have time and patience cover cardboard boxes with wicker look contact paper to look like baskets. That might be more practical and easier to clean than wicker. AND you might want to consider using the middle shelf (eye level) as a family framed picture shelf with a small vase of flowers or a piece of pottery to draw attention away from the storage . . . just a maybe idea!

EASIEST #2 IDEA: you could just leave the shelving as is and use that top shelf for family pictures all the way around both walls (all similar color frames if possible) for temporary until you decide what will work best for you. Hang art, a gallery, (childrens drawings if applies) on the walls above to distract from the storage. Do make all containers the same color or pattern and maybe keep the color the same as the wall to make it all blend in as in disappear visually. #3: You might use wood contact paper on the top shelf for accent, again to draw the eye away from the storage below. Okay that is several options to consider! Unfortunate space for storage for sure. Hugs to you and hope one of all the suggestions sent on this site leads to a workable solution. Let us know how it turns out? Maybe another post of photos?!

Great space. Add more shelves up. Organize items in bins. Clear bins up, colored bins eye level, and down. Paint. Install door.
