NYC Studio Apartment Makeover: Hanging Room Divider

My friend was tired of looking at her bed when she first walked into her studio apartment and wanted to create a separation between the living room and the bedroom without adding any walls that would block the light. IKEA’s KVARTAL hanging wall divider system was the answer and the transformation was just unbelievable - she gained a cozy living room she didn't have before and a separate bedroom area. You can see how I installed the IKEA tracks and panels, including a breakdown of the materials and costs for the project on my website: http://www.engineeryourspace.com/episodes/how-to-install-an-ikea-kvartal-hanging-room-divider/
Dressing up the panels by hanging art from the ceiling tracks really did the trick to make the installation look like a wall.
Before and after: Adding the hanging divider completely changed the look of this NYC studio!
The plan for the makeover was to use IKEA's KVARTAL system to make a hanging dividing wall using a combination of panels and curtains with single and triple tracks.
I also added a pendant lamp in the corner for much needed lighting and ambiance.
In this video, you can see how I installed the IKEA KVARTAL tracks and panels.
