How about using two different colors of cabinets in the kitchen?

It's a trend that I particularly like. I freshened a kitchen with dated oak cabinets that way. If you are painting, rather than replacing, be sure to clean well & use a tinted primer before 2 coats of paint and a sealing coat for durability.

When we were getting our house ready to sell, we painted our old stained oak cabinets Linen White up top and Bennington Gray on the bottom, including the peninsula. It came out great. We used Benjamin Moore Cabinet Coat paint. We matched the paint colors to colors in our faux granite Formica countertops. Don't be afraid to go for it. You could do just an upper and lower cabinet door and see how you like it.

It's a great look that has an added bonus. The bottom cabinets get dirtier and the darker color on the bottom disguises the dirt better!
