Zen Garden
Working in my Zen Garden. My daughter had an above ground swimming pool in this spot and I thought, mmm, what shall I do with this spot.
path with stones from Sedona.
Cairn, spiritual rocks.
In the beginning. We had sand hauled in to cover the swimming pool area. Not knowing what nice drainage sand makes, I have been very pleased as I am in the learning stages.
Pretty bare.
A little progress.
I have found so much joy in the earth this spring and summer.

    Looks nice

I just removed my above ground pool also, and an attached deck. Still trying to figure out what to put in its place, that will be easy to maintain.

So you had some sand hauled in, and then finished the project? I already have

compacted sand that was under the pool for 30 years now. thinking I may need some dirt first??? Just don't know how to proceed. I also will have extra space to do something with, where the deck was at.

in the picture below, the pool deck has not been removed yet, but getting there.

you can see I still lots of deck, that will remain, and also a covered deck/porch and an open deck on the back of my house.

    any suggestions from anyone?
